The city academic ensemble of national dance under control of Igor Moiseyev is first-ever professional dancing collective which is engaged in promotion of national dances of the whole world. The ensemble was educated in 1937 by Igor Moiseyev who, until recently, was his permanent managing director.

The birth ансамбляИгорь Moiseyev was born in 1906 in Kiev. In 1930 having graduated from the institute arts Moiseyev started to work as the ballet master in the Bolshoi theater. In 1937 Igor Moiseyev made the ensemble of national dance 1st in the country. Even during war Moiseyev with the ensemble drove about on all union and dance lifted fighting spirit Russian the fighter. After war Igor Moiseyev’s ballet began the world career, having become the card of the USSR in all festive events. By number of tour performances Igor Moiseyev’s ballet was included in the Guinness Book of Records.

The managing director of collective Igor Moiseyev constantly joked, concerning numerous tours of his ensemble speaking: «On my life it is simpler to write the guidebook, instead of the biography». In 2007 the recognized master died, and his ensemble continues to go on tour, propagandizing cultural tolerance of people of the world.
