Online training point. Lesson the 4th. Interrupted and reduced speed
As a whole, the equipment of many Latin American dances is in many respects similar, but naturally there are also differences. And it is concrete, in a point not always there is a possibility to use an ordinary course, and instead of it therefore is used interrupted or reduced speed. About them speech in our fourth online lesson points also will go.

Why not always it is possible to use an ordinary course Often in a point on a step forward it is necessary to stop off at advance, and in that case the ordinary course is inconvenient, because the weight of a body is distributed in such a manner that on the following step the body itself starts to move forward. In this case it is more convenient to use the interrupted course. Also special type of steps (reduced speed) is applied at performance of certain figures to vary speed of movement of foot and the case. Thanks to it it is possible to show greatly more in dance rhythmic interpretation.

The interrupted course So, the interrupted course in a point has the following features. It is authorized to throw walking foot in a position ahead of the case at the end of a step. Transfer of weight on moving foot becomes only partially. The knee of other foot can be bent, but it should be surely pressed to a knee of a walking foot. A sock of moving foot will develop somewhere on 1/16 turns. All other technical elements of the interrupted course differ nothing from the ordinary.

Reduced speed At such course of stop at first it is put in situation when completely the body weight on it is not transferred. The weight is transferred later, than in usual to a course, not including that, also turn later becomes. In general reduced speed can be the 3rd types: forward with the straightened knee, with the bent knee and back with the bent knee. Thus, if you move back in the slowed-down course, the knee should be always bent, while you completely will not transfer weight.
